JOB DESCRIPTION FOR BOARD MEMBERS

 

PRESIDENT & CHEIF EXECUTIVE OFFICER | Managing organizational assets, optimizing financial operations, providing leadership to all staff, establishing business goals, ensuring tax compliance, advising the board of directors on organizational activities, overseeing and streamlining daily operations, and improving staff. Must be able to research, write and submit grants applications. REQUIREMENTS: prefer management skills, have a college degree. Have internet access and a computer, excellent communication, organizational and writing skills. Knowledgeable in accounting, banking, budgets, and reports, etc., must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications and Social Media Platforms.

 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR | is responsible for assisting in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department. Working with the director to coordinate and supervise daily operations. Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies! REQUIREMENTS: Ability to multi-task and delegate, have effective communication skills, good sense for organization and planning, strong attention to detail, basic knowledge and understanding of all the various department functions.

 

BOARD SECRETARY |Operate as the custodian of all corporations’ records! This duty involves ensuring the organizational records are maintained according to law, are available upon request by authorized board members. This includes updating the organization’s bylaws and maintaining its articles of incorporations along with keeping accurate and up-to-date records of its membership, board minutes, financial reports and other important documents. Secretary will also manage the general communications of the organization’s board of directors and its executive management staff. REQUIREMENTS: must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, access to internet service and a computer. Ability to communicate with all board members effectively, organize and prioritize tasks, ability to take a project and run with it, manage projects, have good oral, written, and organizational skills, work well with others, have financial literacy, and is proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Applications and Social Media Platforms. Have internet access and a computer. 

 

BOARD TREASURER | is the lead board director of financial management and oversight. ... The treasurer usually opens the bank account, manages cash flow and reconciles bank statements. An effective nonprofit treasurer will develop systems for ensuring the organization's solvency. REQUIREMENTS: have an Associate’s degree, knowledgeable in accounting, banking, budgets, filing State & Federal Tax Reporting. Have internet access and a computer and have knowledge of all Microsoft office applications and Social Media Platforms. Good oral communication, organizational and written skills. Have a Familiarity With the Rules. Detail-Oriented with Concern for the Long-Term, have clear and Methodical Record-Keeping skills, also a team player. Transparent and with a Strong Moral Compass, well-Informed of the Law, skilled at delegation, and have a Heart for the Homeless Community

 

CASE MANAGER | help supervise and arrange steps to stability-pizza-pie programs for clients. Will also oversee and direct those who provide additional care and services to supportive outside services. The role of the case manager is to undertake assessment, monitoring, planning, advocacy and linking of the consumer with rehabilitation and support services (There’s Still Hope, 2017). Its function is clearly transitional housing management and relapse prevention. REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age, and have a high school diploma. Have clinical, communication and time management, organizational, autonomy, conflict resolution skills, and a good team player, along with written and budgeting skills. Have internet access and a computer, work well with others and have knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications and Social Media Platforms.

 

EVENT|PROJECT VOLUNTEER | Assist with fundraising events, answering questions, greet attendees, manage the flow of the crowd, set up and teardown tables, or tents canopies, and event volunteer recruitment. REQUIREMENTS: must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma. Good communications, organizational and writing skills and work well with others, have basic knowledge with Microsoft Office Applications and Social Media Platforms. >>> This is a NON BOARD POSITION! <<<
