New Board Members


Please help me welcome the election of 4 new members to our Advisory Board. These newly appointed Advisory Board members have agreed to serve on an Interim basis. They are Agustin McCarthy, Mykal Shannon, Sandra James & Sarah James Saunders. “I am absolutely thrilled to welcome these four talented individuals.” Their unique backgrounds and diverse experience will make them a great asset to There’s Still Hope | Charlotte’s board, community and organization.”


NEW BOARD MEMBERS


Agustin McCarthy | Pronouns: They - is a yoga and mindfulness instructor who is also an award-winning independent filmmaker and Assistant Professor of Media Arts at City University of New York.


Mykal Shannon | Pronouns: He/Him/His - is a retired law enforcement sergeant who now resides in Asheboro, NC. He has been an activist representing a voice for marginalized communities and social injustices in the south, for more than 20 years.


Sandra James Saunders | Pronouns: They/Them - is an Army Veteran and Pet mom who resides in Charlotte, NC. She is pursuing her dream of becoming a Doctor of Social Work. She is also married to their loving wife Sarah James Saunders.


Sarah James Saunders | Pronouns: She/Her - is a millennial entrepreneur, business owner, and health enthusiast. Known for her passion of making a positive impact in the lives of others, Sarah's professional and life journey continuously evolves as leverage to help others. Sarah resides in Charlotte with her loving wife Sandra James Saunders.
